8:00-9:30 pm Roots Rock Society

One of the Midwest's favorites, Roots Rock Society has been together over ten years and received airplay on more than 200 radio stations worldwide!

10:00pm-11:30pm The Jah Kings

The return of Kalamazoo's original Reggae band, featuring Alex Washington and Bassmaster Simba. They are hard at work crafting a new CD. This appearance marks a new beginning for this critically acclaimed act.

12:00am-1:30am Tippa Irie / Rappa Robert (Supercharged Dancehall Reggae from London, UK and Kingston, Jamaica)

Anthony Henry- a.k.a. "Tippa Irie" emerged from England's Saxon Sound International- the start studded traveling sound system which has been at the forefront of of the U.K. Reggae scene for the past 20 years and helped launch the careers of artist such as Maxi Priest, Papa Levi, and Smiley Culture. Tippa Irie was part of the newer generation of British MC's who developed the "Fast Talking" style chat. Tippa has toured extensively with his good friend Pato Banton, including an appearance at Reggae Sunsplash in Jamaica

Robert Wilson, a.k.a Rappa Robert, started his career in the late seventies as a Jamaican youth. He showcased his special skills in various talent show competitions by singing classic John Holt boomshots. In the early eighties producers Barry Clarke and Lloyd Campbell at Aquarius Studios in Half Way Tree encouraged Rappa Robert to begin recording professionally. He performed at the annual Jamaican Reggae Sunsplash in 1988 and 1989. Now linked up with UB40 production wizards' Paul and Pops at Oracabessa Studios in the parish of St. Mary, Rappa Robert is once again about to make his presence felt as we approach the new millennium.
